week 8: clocks

naomi:this was taken the day before i flew to america. i am probably in the air as you read this. it is a wall of clocks in a shop that also sells an alarm clock with a bird on top that sings to you in the morning instead of screaming an alarm.

i hope next weekends tlp will be amazing because me and marie will be able to take them together, a first in tlp history.

marie:  i knew that i wanted to photograph the allen-bradley clock for this week's assignment, but originally i figured that the photo would be snapped from the hoan bridge. i tend to forget that things often look more miniature sized through a polaroid lens. so, i went streetwalking in search of a more suitable view and came up with this. the clock is still lagging one hour behind from daylight savings. the blue sky sums up the day, and weather in the upper 50's put a skip in everyone's step.

o, and did i mention that naomi is in the air and will arrive in 15 hours?  well, it's true.

week 7:dusk

naomi: everything here is very calm right now, the calm before the enormous storm of deadlines and job hunting and moving countries. this is the hill near my house, the view north.

my plan was to go to america next week to do some work for my exhibition and some obstacles have arisen, but i'll find a way.
maybe in a couple of weeks the tlp photos won't be transatlantic at all (for one time only)

marie: o the night here it comes again
             it's on with the jeans,
             the jacket
             and the shirt

i barely made it before night fell completely, though the sky did not show up through my camera, which clearly does not do well in low light. but it did remind me of one of my favorite songs by ryan adams.

next weeks theme is clocks, set by marie...
